We prepared the masterplan and development application for the Clovelly Hotel on behalf of Tilley and Wills: an evolution of a much-loved local watering hole. The approved scheme lifts the venue’s principal spaces—the Beer Garden, Bistro and dining areas, Gaming, and a new Al Fresco terrace—with a light and considered hand, opening the pub to its coastal setting while protecting the character that makes it a genuine neighbourhood local. The concept is fresh, light and fun: the kind of place you can arrive at in your linens, or wander in straight off the beach with sand on your feet, and feel equally at home.
