loopcreative was engaged to refurbish the Oxford Art Factory, one of Sydney’s established live music and performance venues, with the design focused on improving both the audience experience and the operational performance of the space.

The works included a new stage environment, bar, ticketing and entry sequence, together with upgrades to sound, lighting and supporting venue infrastructure. The design retains the raw, underground character of the venue while introducing a more resolved architectural framework around the key points of arrival, performance and service.

Materials and detailing were kept deliberately robust and direct, allowing the energy of the crowd, music and performance to remain the focus.

The result is a renewed live music venue that feels more considered and functional without losing the intensity and character that defines Oxford Art Factory.
