Project Info

Materiality defines the architecture: raw yet refined, balanced between permanence and craft. Every surface, junction and proportion contributes to a cohesive design language — confident, enduring and unmistakably Woodcut. Lighting is restrained and purposeful, accentuating texture and form while allowing fire to remain the primary source of theatre. The kitchens anchor the plan: open, expressive and alive. Fire, Steam, Smoke and Ice become both culinary and spatial experiences, bringing movement, energy and ritual into the dining environment. The interiors are curated from timber, stone, steel and glass, layered with tactility, warmth and shadow. Natural stone floors ground the space, while oak furniture and leather dining chairs introduce richness, intimacy and weight. Spanning approximately 1,000sqm, the restaurant is conceived as a large-format hospitality destination accommodating over 300 guests across the main dining room, chef’s table, private dining spaces and outdoor terrace.

Woodcut Restaurant has recently been awarded the prestigious winner at the 2021 Restaurant and Bar Design Awards in the Australian & Pacific Hotel Category.
