Nestled within Fiji’s spectacular Kadavu archipelago, Kokomo Private Island is recognised as one of the South Pacific’s most exclusive luxury destinations. Over the course of a long-standing collaboration, Loopcreative collaborated with owner Lang Walker to shape a collection of hospitality experiences that celebrate relaxed island living through refined contemporary design. The commission encompassed the design of the resort’s signature restaurant and arrivals building Beach Shack, the oceanfront Sunset Bar, the intimate Wine Cellar & Tasting Room, together with concept design for the Wellness Retreat and Kokocabana. Inspired by Kokomo’s extraordinary natural environment, each venue was conceived to dissolve the boundary between architecture, landscape and hospitality. Honest materials, crafted detailing and an open connection to the ocean create spaces that feel effortless, authentic and unmistakably of their place. From sunrise breakfasts overlooking the reef to sunset cocktails by the water and intimate wine experiences, every environment was designed to enrich the guest journey while expressing the understated luxury that defines the Kokomo brand. The project reflects Loopcreative’s ongoing expertise in designing destination hospitality, creating places that are memorable not only for their design but for the experiences they enable.
