Innovative Design for 275 Grey Street Brisbane’s End of Trip Facility
Loopcreative was selected by UIR Investment Group, AXA Investment Managers, and Knight Frank to transform a challenging space at 275 Grey Street Brisbane into a state-of-the-art End of Trip Facility. This building, home to major tenants Virgin Australia and Flight Centre, required a design that met both functional needs and the high creative standards of its forward-thinking occupants.
Tackling a Unique Space : The 250sqm area presented unprecedented challenges with its undulating floors and lack of obvious level surfaces. Loopcreative’s task was to design a space that not only served its practical purpose but also resonated with the innovative spirit of the travel industry giants housed within.
A Design Like No Other : This End of Trip Facility is anything but standard. The space has been intentionally designed with a calming, dark atmosphere that gradually brightens as users move through it. The interior features a freeform track for bike and scooter storage, utilizing non-slip rubber and checker plate steel flooring. Steel mesh walls, illuminated by rear-lit expanded metal mesh, add to the industrial yet modern aesthetic, all painted in Dulux bridge paint grey.
Key Features : Dynamic Lighting: A standout feature is the Obeco glass wall, illuminated with color-changing LEDs, customizable to the tenant’s preference—in this case, the vibrant signal red of Virgin Australia.
Innovative Ceiling: Bikes are stored under a NewMat stretch ceiling with color-changing LEDs, an advanced technique more commonly seen in high-end designs like Batman’s garage.
Loopcreative’s design at 275 Grey Street Brisbane successfully combines functionality with cutting-edge design, creating an End of Trip Facility that meets the practical needs of its users while exceeding the creative expectations of Virgin Australia and Flight Centre
